YOUR INDICATIVE BUILD ALLOWANCE
A focused first release, with purposeful motion and feedback.
Focused first release: A$5,000–A$15,000
This is a scope-based planning estimate, not an automated quote. Technical discovery can change the range.
Optional extras update the range; they are not required for every project.
All figures are AUD planning allowances. Your written quote confirms the agreed scope, any applicable GST and third-party charges. Hosting, store accounts, paid services, content licences and ongoing maintenance are separate unless expressly included. Ranges are not fixed offers or market-average comparisons.
WHAT COULD YOUR BUDGET BUILD?
Small spark. Room to grow.
These examples explain the assumptions behind each range. Your project may fit between categories; we will help identify the smallest useful version.
01 / INDICATIVE PROJECT SCOPE
A focused improvement
A$500–A$1,500
A small, clearly defined change to an existing working app or website.
One isolated interaction, screen adjustment or visual fix
Existing code and assets supplied in working order
Start with one audience and one useful journey. Keep the initial platform focused. Supply existing brand assets and prioritise the two or three features that matter most. A clear first version can make room for polished feedback and interaction without trying to build everything at once.
A few screens can still contain difficult work: permissions, payments, real-time collaboration, migration and unusual integrations affect scope. Screen counts are examples, not a pricing formula.
Original art, audio & animation
Every scope considers purposeful feedback. A large bespoke illustration library, character animation or original soundtrack needs a separate asset plan and allowance.
Release & ongoing ownership
Discuss supported devices, release responsibilities, source handover, hosting and maintenance before accepting a quote. Compare proposals on the same inclusions.
APP DEVELOPMENT COSTS / YOUR QUESTIONS
Know what to expect. Choose your next step.
What can A$500 buy?+
A small, isolated improvement to an existing working product might fit an A$500–1,500 allowance. Examples include refining a button interaction or adjusting a straightforward screen. It is not the price of a complete new app. We first check the code and scope.
How much does a simple app cost?+
Our indicative range for a focused first release is A$5,000–15,000: one platform, one core workflow and a simple data model. Accounts, payments, complex integrations or significant original assets can change that estimate.
Is a prototype a finished app?+
No. An A$1,500–5,000 interactive prototype helps explore a key journey and visual direction. It uses demonstration data and does not include a production backend. A production build is scoped separately.
Can we build in stages?+
Yes. We can define a useful first milestone, test the important interactions and plan later features separately. Each stage needs an agreed scope and written quote.
Are these fixed prices?+
No. They are indicative AUD planning ranges based on the examples shown. The written quote confirms deliverables, exclusions, any applicable GST, third-party charges, timing and payment milestones.
Does animation mean a larger budget?+
Clear feedback and purposeful transitions are part of our design approach. Large custom animation sets, original media and complex interactive systems require additional scope. The estimator lets you explore one example allowance.
What should I send for an accurate quote?+
Describe your users, main goal, must-have features, platforms, existing assets, integrations, timing and budget. Our quote builder organises these details and lets you review everything before you send an email.
